New Car Day in Dubai! 🚗 🇦🇪

Giving strong soccer Mom vibes! 🤣

As a Real Estate Broker, a car is necessary to get from one viewing to another, and another, and back to the office, and then to another viewing, and you get the picture.

Dubai is left-hand drive, meaning driving on the right. The roads are complex, and people either don’t use indicators at all or use them wrong…

The junctions are very close together, so trying to get on while other cars try to get off is the highlight of any journey 🙄

I must admit to being a bit of a hypocrite here, as I’ve always judged the use of SUVs in cities where they don’t seem necessary. However, my friend pointed out that even in a SUV, I’d probably be one of the smallest cars on the road, so maybe I’d feel more comfortable with a better road presence than in a sedan.
Considering I’ve already had one little bump with what can only be described as a tank, I’d say she was right!

I currently hire my car on a monthly agreement from @thriftyuae and pay roughly £600 per month.

Fortunately, fuel is super cheap, and it costs about £23 to fill up which I do pretty much weekly. I burn through fuel with the A/C on all the time, but am I going to turn it off in 43°c? Absolutely not.

P.S. watch out for speed bumps. They can pop up when you least expect them!

Happy driving!
